World Response Programs & Projects

World Response has active projects in Uganda, Burundi, Nepal, Mexico, Ukraine and India.

World Response has sent medicines or equipment or both, to : Azerbaijan, Armenia, Albania, Nepal, Kyrgystan, Kosovo, Uganda, Burundi, Congo, Cuba, Liberia, Senegal, Zanzibar, Nigeria, Mexico, Honduras, India, Georgia, Haiti, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Peru, Argentina, Ukraine, Brazil, Tanzania, and supported other agencies with medicines and equipment in programs in over 50 countries.

In 2003 World Response provided medical equipment and medicines valued at over 3 million dollars to marginalized communities around the world.

About World Response Projects: WR Projects are to varying degrees, always undertaken with partnering agencies who have local field offices and staff. The focus of all World Response projects remains 'health', with a particular emphasis on getting appropriate medicines to people who can't afford them or have no access to them. An integral part of realising that vision however, occasionally means helping to create a basic self-sustaining, infrastructure to enable the distribution of medicines.

We have also learnt through experience, that one of the most effective means of promoting and improving the health of a community is to work through the women of that community and to promote the healthcare of the children. In many remote rural areas it is the women who are responsible for providing the primary healthcare needs of the community and it is the children who are often the most vulnerable. Many of our projects are therefore women and child health oriented.
